Physical Education and Library

Please help students remember to wear tennis shoes on their PE day.

Students have also begun checking out library books. K-3 students visit the library on the same day they go to PE class; therefore, their PE and library day are the same. Grades 4 and 5 readers are able to visit as they finish books.

Please help students to remember to return their library books on their PE/library day so other readers may enjoy that same book!

Counseling Corner

We’re excited to introduce our two dedicated counselors, Ms. Jones and Ms. Marcus, who play a vital role in supporting our students’ social-emotional learningMs. Jones and Ms. Marcus work with students in many meaningful ways — from teaching lessons in classrooms, to leading small group activities, to providing individual sessions tailored to each student’s needs.

They also spearhead the PAWSitive Panthers initiative, a program designed to bring character traits to life through practical, real-world applications. Together, Ms. Jones and Ms. Marcus help create a nurturing environment where every student can thrive both emotionally and socially.

Dalton Reads: Book Vending Machine

PAWS has many exciting things happening this school year as we head BACK TO THE BLOCK and into a year full of Endless PAWSibilities!

We are SO excited to kick off the new school year with something very special — our brand-new DaltonReads! Book Vending Machine is officially here at City Park Elementary!

As part of our PAWS and Applause initiative, students can earn special coins for positive behavior, great attendance, and other PAWsome rewards — and then redeem them for a brand-new book from the vending machine!

It’s a fun way to build a love for reading while celebrating student success!

Let’s get ready to read and spark adventure, one book at a time as we PAWS and Applaud our PAWSitive Panthers!

Stay tuned for more exciting PAWSibilities from the 405!
