Message from the Principal
Dear Westwood Families,
As we enter our final week of school before Christmas break, our campus is filled with joy, excitement, and the spirit of the season. It has been a wonderful month of learning, celebrations, and special moments that reflect the strong sense of community we share at Westwood.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership throughout the year. As we celebrate the holidays and the hope and love this season brings, I wish your family a Christmas filled with peace, joy, and meaningful time together. May this break provide rest and renewal, and we look forward to welcoming our students back in the new year refreshed and ready to learn.
Merry Christmas,
Alesa Smith

Score a Baseketball Reader! Event |
The Dalton High Basketball players and coaches joined Westwood for the Score a Basketball Reader Event! The athletes read to our students, visited with them during lunch, and enjoyed playing some basketball with them in PE. We are grateful for the partnership and mentorship we have with the Dalton High teams! |
Student Christmas Luncheon! |
Students enjoyed the annual Student Christmas Luncheon where they were able to dress their best, fellowship with classmates during a nice lunch, and receive a Christmas card. Our students love this annual luncheon! |
Congratulations to our Odyssey of the Mind Winners! |
Three of our very own Westwood students were winners in the C3 Odyssey of the Mind Challenge. This competition encourages creativity, teamwork, and real-world problem solving. Congratulations! We are so proud of you! |
Some of our Chorus students were selected to sing alongside Roan School at the Creative Arts Guild's Misletoe Market. They joyfully brought the holiday spirit to the community and represented Westwood wonderfully. |
