Message from the Principal
Dear Westwood Families,
We’ve made it to the end of October! This final week of the month will be a busy and exciting one, full of celebrations, learning, and fun. We’re looking forward to our costume parades and Career Day this week—two wonderful opportunities for our students to celebrate, explore, and shine!
October can be a long month, but we’re so grateful for the continued support, energy, and partnership of our families. Thank you for helping make each day special for our students. As we look ahead to November, let’s continue to take care of ourselves and one another and stay focused on all the great things still to come!

Exciting Playground Upgrade Coming!
Last year, our students voted for a long-lasting improvement—and they chose a playground upgrade!
Here’s what to expect: A complete playground renovation in two phases:
• Phase 1: The field renovation (starting this week!) • Phase 2: Updates to play structures, blacktop, and more
As we kick off Phase 1:
* Shrubbery will be removed * The two back swings and a defective slide will be taken out * Construction fencing is up around the playground perimeter to keep kids safe inside the play area
⚠️ Please note: There may be some days when students will not have access to the playground during recess. On those days, we will provide alternative recess options to ensure students still have fun and stay active!
We’ll keep you posted with updates throughout the construction—watch for the amazing transformation ahead!
Thank you for your support as we make our school an even better place to play and learn! |
